Case Study stories

We are all unique—shaped by our life journeys, experiences, and relationships. Likewise, each person’s path into and through therapy is deeply personal. Therapy is about fostering change and trusting that the answers lie within you. One question I’m often asked by clients is, "I’ve never been in therapy—what can I expect?" These case studies are designed to provide insight into the therapeutic process and help you better understand what to anticipate.

A grief story....

Anna lost her mother a few years ago and had been struggling to cope with the profound loss, as well as the shift in her identity as a daughter without a mother. During our sessions, it emerged that Anna had also experienced the heartbreak of losing a baby—something she had never spoken about or fully processed.

Through focused and compassionate grief therapy, we explored the significance of these losses and how they were deeply connected. The sessions provided Anna with a safe space to openly grieve while feeling supported and cared for. Over time, Anna came to understand that it is possible to hold onto hope while still honoring her grief. By the end of therapy, she discovered a new sense of meaning in her life, recognizing that learning to live with loss is a gradual, deeply personal journey that unfolds differently for everyone.
